HOBBY

Body
1. OEM stock steel or alumium bodies must maintain stock appearance.
2. OPTIONAL BODIES: Stock Appearing Aftermarket Steel or alumium bodies will be allowed. All
aftermarket bodies must have plastic nose Roofs must be Stock Appearing Fiberglass or Steel, No Dirt Late Model style roofs. Hood may be fiberglass, aluminum or steel. If you use an aftermarket body install it right, No flat-sided bodies, and no dirt late model style bodies allowed. All bodies must be mounted straight-up this means your roof is mounted exactly in the center of the chassis (left to right) All bodies stock or aftermarket are subject to approval by the technical inspector. (Install it right the first time).
3. No front push bars will be allowed. If you feel you need some protection for the radiator you may build a guard using tubing, but all tubing must be kept completely behind front bumper in the grill area. If you have a body style with a plastic nosepiece all guards must be behind nosepiece.
4. Rear push bars permitted.
5. All cars with stock bodies must have OEM type front & rear bumpers no homemade tube type bumpers. Cars with aftermarket bodies must have plastic nosepiece

6. lexan or alumium in windows allowed.

7. Any plastic additions must conform to original body contour.
8. No homemade nosepieces. may use a home made tail peice.

11. A metal firewall must be half the width of the car. Floor pan must come behind the driver seat.

Technical Inspector must approve all cars with replaced frame or frame rails. Remember this is not Topless Late Model or B- Cadet so DON'T BUILD A TOPLESS LATE MODEL OR B-CADET CHASSIS TO RACE THIS DIVISION!!!!!!!!

Frame and Rails
1. Minimum 108" wheelbase. Stock frame rails. Body must match frame but must be OEM stock steel or one of the approved Five Star body kits. This will allow you to use a newer body style.
2. Tying frame rails together, reinforcing or X bracing permitted.
3. Weight jack area may be altered. Buckets, plates, etc.
4. Frame must remain stock from front snout to center of top of rear end. May replace from top of center of rear end to bumper with 2 x 2 tubing.
5. Coil spring frame must be coil. Leaf spring car must be leaf spring. NO EXCEPTIONS!!.

Shocks

1. Alumium or steel body shocks permitted.

2. 1 shock per wheel.

3. NO ADJUSTABLE SHOCKS.

4. No dead leg shocks.

Front Suspension and Steering
1. Any upper control arms and mounts permitted.
2. OEM Lower control arms for make & model required. After-market bushings permitted.
3. OEM or safety spindles and hubs permitted.
4. 5" minimum O.D. on coil springs.
5. Weight jacks permitted.
6. OEM steering boxes only. If original equipment, rack and pinion allowed.
7. Inner and Outer tie rod ends may be rod ends and any tie rod sleeves permitted.
9. Racing shocks permitted one shock per wheel No canister shocks.

Rear Suspension
No spring bars allowed on rear suspension of any kind.

Leaf Spring Car (must remain a leaf spring car)
1. Slide boxes on leaf spring cars permitted.
2. No coil overs or coil springs allowed.

3. Upper link, rubber bushing torque link, or spring loaded type upper link permitted on leaf cars.
4. No fifth coil, 90-10, lift bar, pull bar, or Reese bar, etc.
5. Racing shocks permitted one shock per wheel No canister shocks.

Coil Spring Car (must remain coil spring car)
1. May use a three point set up with a solid mount upper link bar, solid bar & rod ends. No 90-10's spring bar or rubber bushing torque links allowed.
2. Solid pan hard bars with rod ends permitted.
3. Rear lower control arms may be aluminum or steel tubes with rod ends with a maximum length of 26" inches from center to center of the mounting holes.
4. Rod ends allowed on solid pan hard bar, solid upper link bar and rear lower control arms, this is the only place rod ends will be allowed on rear suspension.
5. No 90-10's spring bar or rubber bushing torque links. No 5th coil, lift bar, pull bar or Reese bar, etc.
6. 5" minimum O.D. on coil springs.
7. No coil overs or coil over eliminators.
8. Racing shocks permitted one shock per wheel, No canister shocks.
9. 3 link - No biscuit bar.

Roll Cage
1. All cars must have a suitable steel roll cage protecting the driver's compartment.
2. Side roll bars are mandatory and must extend into door panels a minimum of three bars must be used on left side and two on right side.
3. Bars must be at least 1-1/2" inch in diameter and a minimum of .095" inch wall thickness.
4. Roll cage must be welded to frame.
5. Seat must be fastened to roll bars or rail.

Safety
1. All cars must have 3" inch seat belts with shoulder harness and must be attached to roll cage.
2. We strongly recommend that all cars have an approved fire extinguisher system securely
mounted within easy reach of the driver.
3. A 5lb. Halon System is recommended.
4. All drivers must wear a complete fire suit.

Number
1. Number must be at least 18" inches high and on both sides and top of car.

Fuel Cell
1. An approved fuel cell mandatory (32 gallon maximum) must be securely mounted in the trunk area of the car, inside a .20 gauge metal box supported by a minimum of two 2" inch by 1/8 inch steel straps.
2. Gas only- no alcohol- no nitrous oxide, nitro methane or other nitrate additives.
3. No propylene oxide.

Rear End
1. Locked rear ends required, welded or spool or mini spool permitted.
2. 9 inch ford floaters allowed. Housing and axle tubes must be steel.
3. No ratchets, True-Trac or any other type locker unit allowed.
4. No quick changes or open differentials.

Wheels
1. Steel wheels only, 12" inch maximum width.
2. Wide 5 wheels permitted.
3. Bead locks allowed.

Tires:
1. Open tire rule.

Brakes
1. Four-wheel disc brakes permitted. Any caliper.

2. Dual master cylinders permitted.

1. Collector type headers only. No 180 degree headers. No TRI - Y headers. Mufflers required.
2. All 4 tubes from the same side of the motor must go into the same collector.

2. Must have at least one forward and one reverse gear in working order.

ECONOMY BOMBER

Body
1. All bodies must be stock steel bodies. No fiberglass or aluminum body panels allowed. Fenders and quarter

panels may be cut for wheel clearence only. Five Star "Street Stock" steel replacement body panels allowed,

must be the 101S body package or individual items stock replacement parts. No homemade doors, fenders,

quarter panel, deck lids, hoods or roofs allowed.

2. Doors must be welded or bolted shut. Aftermarket nose and rear bumper pieces permitted.

3. Quarter panels must remain in original position. Cars with raised quarter panels or deck lids will be ruled illegal.

5. No push bars allowed in front of bumper.

6. Stock unaltered floor pan, firewall and trunk must be retained. No hulling permitted except front doors for roll cage.

Dashboard may be replaced with sheet metal. All holes in floorboard and firewalls must be covered with sheet metal.

Complete bumper-to-bumper unibody must be retained. May

have radiator protection bar, cannot extend past front bumper. Rear of car must be closed in NO open rears.

Frame And Suspension

3. All frames must be completely stock from clip to rear clip, No altering shortening or interchanging of any kind.

5. Uni-body cars may be connected. Stock shape of uni-body may not be altered in any way.

6. No reese bars, J-bars, torque links, or any other traction-enhancing device allowed.

7. Racing shocks permitted. alumium or steel. 1 shock per wheel. no adjustable shocks. no dead leg shocks.

8. Stock type suspension only. Leaf spring cars must have leaf springs only mounted in orginal position.

Coil spring cars must have springs mounted in stock location, and use stock trailing arms. Urethane bushings permitted.

9. Stock type brakes systems or dual master cylinders allowed.

Safety
1. Approved helmet and full fire resistant driver's suit required.

2. All cars must have a minimum 2lb. fire extinguisher mounted inside of car within easy reach of the driver.

3. Stock seat with headrest ok. Racing seat recommeneded seat must be bolted with a minimum od 6 3/8" bolts

to bars that are welded to roll cage. Must have 3-point quick release type racing seat belt with shoulder harness 3" wide.

Must be bolted to roll cage with minimum od 3/8" bolt.

4. 6-point roll cage requied and must be welded to frame rails and all connections must be fully welded. All cages must be a minimum

diameter of 1 1/2" and minimum .090 wall thickness A minium of 3 horizontal bars is required in the drivers door and a minium of 2

in the passenger door. Roll bar installation and workmanship must be approved.

Engine
1. No high performance equipment or machine work permitted unless otherwise noted here.

2. Only stock factory street production V-8 or V-6 engines permitted Engines must be mounted in stock location center of chassis,

#1 spark plug must be in line with or in front of upper ball joint.

3. GM 350 c.i.d., Ford 351 c.i.d., Chrysler 340 or 360 c.i.d. Engines must be stock bore and stroke , 0.60ths over bore permitted.

4. No big blocks permitted.

5. Deck may be surfaced but pistons may not exceed the top of the block.

6. Racing oil pans permitted . Must be made of steel NO aluminum oil pans.

7. No engine interchanging car and engine must be same manufacturer.

8. Stock factory production steel or cast iron cranks ok. Eagle cast crank p/n 103503480 is allowed. This is the only aftermarket

crankshaft allowed, and must have factory numbers intact. No knife edging or lightening of cranks. Crankshafts must be

stock stroke to size of engine. No stroking or D-stroking.

9. Engine balancing permitted.

10. Stock factory manifolds or chassis type collector headers. Headers must turn under firewall and have collectors. Must be

economy style header. No stepped tube headers, headers must be the same diameter from head flange to collector.

Cylinder Heads
1. Heads must be standard factory production. steel heads only. must have casting number. no after market heads allowed.

2. No angle milling porting polishing squaring or epoxying of ports. Screw in studs or guide plates permitted. Rocker studs may

be pinned, No roller or roller tip rocker arms or stud girdles. 3 angle valve jobs permitted.

3. Stainless steel valves allowed. Valve sized... Chevrolet 350 1.94" maximum intake & 1.5" maximum exhaust. Ford, chrysler, and

other GM products must be stock sizes. Stock diameter valve stems.

4. Steel valve retainers and keepers only. No aluminum, titanium, or other exotic material retainer. Any valve spring.

5. No mismatching of Cleveland or Windsor heads.

6. Screw in studs allowed.

7. Vortec heads allowed.

Pistons
1. Cast or forged flat top 4 valve relief pistions only.

2. No dome pistons permitted.

.468" maximum lift Ford Cleveland. Maximum lift applied to intake and exhaust and includes rocker ratio Measure at push rod.

2. No solid lift cams. No anti pump up or Rhoads lifters permitted. Lifters must be stock diameter to make of engine. Example..

Intake

Carburetor
1. Stock OEM production 4 barrel or Holly 600 CFM carburetor permitted.
